BERLIN, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say a Connecticut man faces charges after truck-jacking an 18-wheeler on I-89 Friday.

Berlin Police say Barry Perez, 37, of Hartford, Conn., brandished a gun at a tractor-trailer driver who had stopped at the scene of a rollover crash on I-89 to check on the driver.
They say Perez told the big rig operator to drive but that he instead pulled off and went to the Berlin Mall, escaped, and called 911.
A tactical team responded and police say Perez was arrested and taken into custody. He faces charges of kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.
