SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. —
South Burlington Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly threatened his Uber driver with a gun on Dorset Street.
Police responded to a parking lot near the intersection of Williston Road and Dorset Street just before 11:00 p.m.
Officers learned that an Uber driver had a dispute with a customer. During the dispute, police say the customer pulled out a firearm.
Police say the customer took off. Officers believe there was also a woman who had been in the Uber with him.
After searching the area, police located the couple. The man ran away, but officers were able to catch the woman, who is being considered at witness at this time. Police also recovered the firearm used in the incident.
The male suspect was described as Black, and approximately 6’0” tall, with facial hair.
Police say he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves.
