We often forget how important the role of man's best friend in the police force truly is.
Per Essex PD, "On June 17th, 2024. At approximately 4:32 PM EPD received a call that a child had run away from their mom about 15 minutes before calling the police."
"Upon the officer’s arrival they learned that the child may have run into the nearby woods to the river. K9 Nova was deployed and after a quick track, she located the juvenile in the river. The child was unharmed and swiftly returned to their family. Great job team!"
K9 Nova and Corporal Wehman are to thank for rescuing the child.
