Burlington Police have arrested Oliver Reed, 41, of Burlington after they stopped his car which had no lights on at night. The traffic stop occurred on November 23 at around 12:45 am.
Officers stopped Reed to tell him his lights were off, but quickly discovered that he had an active warrant for his arrest.
Reed resisted officers’ attempts to detain him and resisted the whole way through. Two officers sustained minor injuries due to his resistance.
Reed was also found to have presumed cocaine on his person during the arrest.
Reed was taken into custody for impeding a police officer, resisting arrest, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
He was taken to Northwest State Correctional Facility.

Man arrested in Cambridge for connection to Eden burglary
Police have arrested Mark Creedy, 34, of Morristown for his role in several burglaries this month, including one in Eden. Police arrested Creedy near Cambridge.
The Eden burglary took place on the morning of November 14 at Lake Eden Country Store, which is located at 4121 VT Route 100 in Eden.
Creedy is alleged to have gone inside with a knife and forced his way into a cash register.
He is also alleged to have committed other burglaries in the area.
He failed to post $500 bail and had a court date on November 25.
Police looking for fugitive car thief
Mark Marsden, 61, of Derby is alleged to have stolen a vehicle in early October in Morgan VT.
Police have since tracked the car to Connecticut and then New York where it was ultimately located. Police identified Marsden as the suspect and are searching for his whereabouts.
Additionally, Marsden is currently in violation of court orders of release including curfew in Derby. He has been in violation for months.
Marsden has not yet been located and is the subject of two other arrest warrants for unrelated cases.

Police seeking West Rutland burglary suspect
Police are searching for an unidentified man who robbed the Sunoco in West Rutland located at 610 Rutland Rd, West Rutland.
The suspect had already fled when police arrived at the scene. An unknown man had forced entry into the store and stole cigarettes, fleeing before police could respond.
Police have released photos of the man who appears to be dragging a trash can full of stolen goods.
