On March 9, 2025, at around 10:00pm, Vermont State Police from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a reported family disturbance at a residence on Main Street in St. Johnsbury.

During the investigation, troopers determined that Haley Liberty, 24, of St. Johnsbury, had assaulted a household member, causing minor injuries.
This attack was committed in the presence of a child.
While being taken into custody, Liberty also assaulted a responding trooper.
Liberty was taken into custody on $500 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia County Criminal Division, on March 10 at 12:30 p.m.
Mendon woman arrested for unlawful trespass
On March 3, 2025, Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on VT Route 140 in Tinmouth.
Troopers arrived and identified Ashley Gove, 37, of Mendon, as the suspect. According to police, Gove unlawfully entered a residence she had no right to access and damaged the door frame while forcing her way inside.
After being located in Mendon, Gove was arrested for unlawful trespass and unlawful mischief. Gove was transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail.
VSP investigating retail theft of wood pellets in Cambridge
Vermont State Police are investigating a retail theft that occurred on March 9, 2025, at 9:45 p.m. at Aubuchon Hardware in Cambridge.
Troopers say the suspect stole several hundred dollars' worth of wood pellets and fled the area.
Investigators believe this incident may be linked to a similar theft at the same store on March 8.

Fletcher man reports missing Corvette, police seek public’s help
Vermont State Police in St. Albans are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 1993 Corvette belonging to Charles Hagar, 65, of Fletcher.
According to police, Hagar had loaned the car to a friend during the summer of 2024. After the friend passed away unexpectedly, the vehicle's whereabouts became unknown. At this time, the situation is considered non-criminal.
Anyone with information about the missing Corvette is asked to call the St. Albans Barracks at (802) 524-5993.
